The American Industrial Revolution was started in the middle of the 1800s. Before the advent of the industrial revolution, the Americans were manufacturing products to cater to the need of the local community.

A boom of manufacturing products with the help large machinery and with automated tasks help them to produced products in large quantities and it has been exported to countries and yielded more benefits. The first factory was constructed in 1790 by Samuel Slater.

He constructed the textile manufacturing unit where he brought the technology from England. This was the beginning of new era and slowly expanded his manufacturing unit to other areas. He started spinning mill at Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

In the year 1804, OLIVER EVANS developed a steam engine at his manufacturing unit at Philadelphia which is changed the entire need for industrial purposes.
