some possible equations equivalent to 2x+3y=12 would be:

1)

y=−2x+12/3

written form:

y= negative 2x plus 12 over/divided by 3

2)

y=−2/3x+4

written form:

y= negative 2 over/divided by 3x plus 4

3)

y=4−2/3x

written form:

y= 4 minus 2 over/divided by 3x

4)

y=12−2x/3

written form:

y= 12 minus 2x over/divided by 3

those are all i could think of! Hope this helped :)

If its too complicated comment and ill try to simplify it. remember ITS NEVER WRONG TO ASK QUESTIONS!!!

there are approximately 202 gallons per cubic yard of water write and solve an equation for the number of gallons of water to fi
Setler [38]

The Volume of the Swimming pool is : 1161 cubic feet

The water in the 1 cubic yard = 202 gallons

Let us first change 1 cubic yard into 1 cubic feet

We know 1 yard = 3 foot

                 1 cubic yard =  3*3*3   cubic feet

                1 cubic yard =  9 cubic feet .

Water in the 9 cubic feet = 202 gallons

water  in the 1  cubic feet = 202/9  = 22.44 gallons

Let us suppose there is x gallon water in the swimming pool

so volume of the swimming pool in cubic feet * volume of the water in 1 cubic feet = x gallon

         1161 * 22.44  = x

  26058 gallons = x

Answer : 26058 gallons of water is required to fill the swimming pool .

Solve the following quadratic function
by utilizing the square root method.
y = 100 – x2
Anna [14]

Answer:

x = ± 10

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve the equation let y = 0 , that is

0 = 100 - x²( add x² to both sides )

x² = 100 (I take the square root of both sides )

x = ± \sqrt{100} = ± 10

Then solution is x = - 10, x = 10
