Based on arousal theory we engage in particular activities to stimulate our physiological arousal and each person has different activities that they know stimulate their arousal levels.

For kids and dogs they are always stimulated or aroused by filling their curious mind with certain adventures that they engage in such as opening cupboards to find out what is there and even break it if possible for a child that is stimulating, it help them reach their own level of arousal.
