Each face of the cube has an area of 4cm^2 (2*2 = 4). A cube has six faces so the total surface area is 24cm^2 (4cm^2*6).

Well find the area of one face pf a cape which is a square so all sides will be the same length. 2 times 2 is 4 so the area of one face of the cube is 4. There are 6 faces so you multiply by 4.

6 times 4 is 24.

The total surface area that will be painted is 24cm^2.

If f(x) = 2x2 - 5 and g(x) = 3x + 3, find (f - g)(x).
Vera_Pavlovna [14]
Answer: A. 2x2 - 3x - 8

Just subtract the functions and combine like terms
(f - g)(x) = f(x) - g(x)
(f - g)(x) = 2x^2 - 5 -(3x + 3)
(f - g)(x) = 2x^2 - 5 - 3x - 3
(f - g)(x) = 2x^2 - 3x - 8

Kenya solved the equation below. Negative 6 (x minus 2) + 3 x = negative 3 (x + 3) + 21 What is the solution to Kenya's equation
777dan777 [17]

Answer: No solution

Step-by-step explanation:

-6(x - 2) + 3x = -3(x + 3) + 21

-6x + 12 + 3x = -3x - 9 + 21

Collect like terms

-6x + 3x + 3x = -9 + 21 - 12

-6x + 6x = - 9 + 9

0 = 0

In this scenario, it can be deduced that there is no solution to Kenya's equation.

2. The area of the base of the cone is 64π cm2 and the altitude is 6 cm. Calculate the cone: (a) the length of the constituent;(
andriy [413]

Answer: We have to calculate the (i) volume and (ii) the surface area of the cone:

\begin{gathered} A=\pi r^2+\pi rl\rightarrow(1) \\  \\ V=\pi r^2\frac{h}{3}\rightarrow(2) \end{gathered}

The formula (1) is for the lateral surface of the cone and the formula (2) is for the volume of the cone, the unknowns are determined as follows:

\begin{gathered} r=\sqrt{\frac{64\pi}{\pi}}=8cm \\  \\ r=8cm \\  \\ l=\sqrt{r^2+h^2}=\sqrt{(8cm)^2+(6cm)^2} \\  \\ l=\sqrt{100}=10 \\  \\ l=10 \end{gathered}

Therefore the volume and the lateral surface area is calculated as follows:

\begin{gathered} \begin{equation*} A=\pi r^2+\pi rl \end{equation*} \\  \\ A=\pi(8)^2+\pi(8)(10) \\  \\ A=144\pi cm^2\Rightarrow(x) \\  \\ \begin{equation*} V=\pi r^2\frac{h}{3} \end{equation*} \\  \\ V=\pi(8cm)^2\frac{6cm}{3} \\  \\ V=128\pi cm^3\Rightarrow(y) \end{gathered}

Therefore x and y are the answers.
