You know one angle is 72°. They all equal 180. Subtract 72 from 180. Take the remaning answer and subtract 2 from the *x +2* so you have 2 x's. Devide the remaing number by two and thats the x value.

Please solve this simultaneous equation, i'm not that good at it.

2r-s=10
rs-s^2=12
o-na [289]

Answer:

s = 6, r = 8 or s = 4, r = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

2r - s = 10

2r = 10 + s

r = 5 + s/2 --(1)

rs - s^2 = 12 --(2)

sub (1) into (2):

(5 + s/2)s - s^2 = 12

5s + 0.5s^2 - s^2 = 12

-0.5s^2 + 5s - 12 = 0

s^2 - 10s + 24 = 0

(s - 6)(s - 4) = 0

therefore s = 6 or s = 4

when s = 6, r = 8 and when s = 4, r = 7

if you would like to discover more about simultaneous equations, you can have a look at my Instagram page (learntionary). I'll be posting mathematics related stuff there and some of my notes (simultaneous enq notes are already posted!)

Jenn went shopping and spent $112. She bought a book for $24 and CD's that cost $8 each. What equation would you use to find out
slavikrds [6]
I would use the equation

Find the value of x (URGENT/GIVING BRAINLIEST)
Virty [35]

Answer:

x=25

Step-by-step explanation:

The angles 126 and (5x+1) are equal. The equation that is used is 5x+1=126.

To solve the equation, subtract 1 from both sides

5x+1-1=5x     126-1=125.

Simplify the equation. 5x=125

Divide both sides by 5.   5x/5=x     125/5=25

You would get x=25 eventually.
