The answer is 46

To do this, you need to have PEMDAS handy.

P - Parentheses
E - Exponents
M - Multiplication
D - Division
A - Addition
S -Subtraction

First, you do your parentheses, which is 4+2, which equals 4. Then, you do your exponents, which turn into 64 and 36. next, you multiply 36•2 which equals 72. After that, you divide 72/4 which equals 18. Finally, you subtract 64-18, which gives you a answer of 46. hopes this helped:)

❖ 8² - (4+2)² × 2 ÷ 4 = 46

Follow order of operations:

Parenthesis

Exponents

Multiplication

Division

Addition

Subtraction

(Note: Multiplication and division can be done in either order as well as addition and subtraction.)

First, do parenthesis and exponents:

(4 + 2)² = 36   8² = 64

Now do multiplication and division:

36 x 2 ÷ 4 = 18

Now do subtraction:

64 - 18 = 46

Solve the equation for a K = 4a + 9ab
Nuetrik [128]

Answer:

K/(4+9b) = a

Step-by-step explanation:

K = 4a + 9ab

Factor out a on the right hand side

K = a(4 + 9b)

Divide each side by (4+9b)

K/(4+9b) = a(4 + 9b)/(4+9b)

K/(4+9b) = a

Given the functions a(x) = 3x − 12 and b(x) = x − 9, solve a[b(x)].
zalisa [80]
A(x) = 3x - 12
b(x) = x - 9

a(b(x)) = a(x - 9) = 3(x - 9) - 12 = 3x - 27 - 12 = 3x - 39
a(b(x)) = 3x - 39
