Write 0.0004571 in scientific notation.
NISA [10]
Scientific notation means to write the answer in standard form. standard form helps you to express numbers that are too big or too small to be conveniently written in decimal form.
so for this case, it will be 4.571×10^-4.
when the number is decimal, you move the dot to the right and it will always be multiplying 10 to the power of a negative power.

I need to get the left side to equal the right side. Keeping the right side alone and not changing it.
likoan [24]

<u>To prove the trigonometric equation:</u>

\sin ^{3} x+\cos ^{3} x=(\sin x+\cos x)(1-\sin x \cos x)

RHS=(\sin x+\cos x)(1-\sin x \cos x)

We know that \sin^2x +\cos^2x=1, substitute this in place of 1.

       =(\sin x+\cos x)(\sin^2x +\cos^2x-\sin x \cos x)

Multiply each term of the first term with each term of the 2nd term.

       =\sin^3x + \sin x \cos^2x-\sin^2 x \cos x+\cos x \sin^2 x + \cos^3 x-\sin x\cos^2 x

Group like terms together.

       =\sin^3x +( \sin x \cos^2x-\sin x\cos^2 x)+(\cos x \sin^2 x-\sin^2 x \cos x) + \cos^3 x

       =\sin^3x +( 0)+(0) + \cos^3 x

       =\sin^3x + \cos^3 x

       = LHS

RHS = LHS

\sin ^{3} x+\cos ^{3} x=(\sin x+\cos x)(1-\sin x \cos x)

Hence proved.

21 increased by twice Gail's height<br> Use the variable g to represent Gail's height.
dmitriy555 [2]

The expression represented by 21 increased by twice Gail's height is 21 + 2g

<h3>What are expressions?</h3>

Expressions are mathematical statements that are represented by variables, coefficients and operators

<h3>How to translate the algebraic expression?</h3>

The expression is given as

21 increased by twice Gail's height

Where

g represents Gail's height

So, we have

21 increased by twice Gail's height ⇒ 21 increased by twice g

Twice means 2*

So, we have

21 increased by twice Gail's height ⇒ 21 increased by 2g

increased by means +

So, we have

21 increased by twice Gail's height ⇒ 21 + 2g

Hence, the expression represented by 21 increased by twice Gail's height is 21 + 2g
