Answer:

a. The embryo would suffocate or dehydrate.

Explanation:

Chorion is one of the four extraembryonic membranes that cover the embryo inside the egg. Chorion develops into the part of placenta-derived from the fetus.

Trophoblast develops into chorion during pre-embryonic development. Once formed, the chorion develops villi that are required for the exchange of material, specifically the respiratory gases, between the mother and fetus.

If an egg had nonfunctional chorion, the developing embryo will not get the supply of gases. In the absence of gas exchange between mother and embryo, the embryo will die of suffocation.

Chorion is also involved in the development of the placenta which in turn is the organ of the exchange of nutrients and gases and removal of toxic material.

Nonfunctional chorion would not support the placenta formation and the embryo will not get the supply of nutrients and water.

Why is ability to adjust conclusions were necessary important to critical thinking
Zinaida [17]
When new information leads to new and different conclusions, it is important to be able to adapt to the most up-to-date conclusions. If conclusions are rigid and fixed regardless of any new information that may come to light, then they are not truly based on the facts under discussion.

Plz answer ASAP A plant's response to touch is which type of tropism
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

C. Thigmotropism

Explanation:

Thigmotropism is the turning or bending of a plant or other organism in response to a touch stimulus. Answer choice A can be eliminated because its root "hydro" can give us a hint that it is related to water. Answer choice B implies that it will have something to do with gravity, due to the root "geo." Answer choice D can be eliminated because its root "photo" tells us it will be involved with light.
