Answer:

p-block elements

Explanation:

The periodic table is a display of known chemical elements arranged from left to right as well as top to bottom in the order of increasing atomic number. A total of 118 elements are known till date.

These elements are grouped into 4 different 'blocks'

s-block includes there first two groups on the left of the periodic table- the alkali (group 1) and alkaline earth metals (group 2. Here the s-orbitals get filled up sequentially

p-block includes groups 13-18 except helium. These elements are present on the right side of the periodic table with electrons sequentially filling up the p-orbitals

d-block includes groups 3-12, known as the transition metal series. These elements are present in the center of the periodic table with electrons sequentially filling up the d-orbitals

f-block includes the lanthanide and actinide series also known as inner transition metals. These elements are present in the bottom of the periodic table with electrons sequentially filling up the f-orbitals

Both hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and ammonia (NH3)
faust18 [17]

Answer: The molar mass of H2S is greater than the molar mass of NH3, making the velocity and effusion rate of NH3 particles faster.

Effusion rate is inversely proportional to molar mass.

NH3 will have a higher average molecule velocity, so it will diffuse faster and will reach the other side of the room more quickly.
