So what you do first is find the area of this lawn and you do 10 by 12 and multiply those and you get 120 feet so now what you do is divived 120 by 3 and you get 40 so that means she mowed 40 ft in each hour so that would be the unit rate.

Step by step explanation:

Given that,

The shape of the lawn is rectangular

Length of the lawn = 10 feet

Width of the lawn = 12 feet

Time to complete mowing = 3 hours

Rate = ?

Step 1: find the area of the lawn

Area of rectangle is

A = l * w

10* 12 = 120 Feet

Area / no of hours for the mowing to complete

120/3 = 40

This meant that the rate at which Emily mowed her lawn is 40 ft per hour

The point at which a company's costs equals its revenue is the break-even. Crepresents cost, in dollars, of x units of a product
Westkost [7]

when r = c is the break even point.

since r = 14x and c = 12x + 36000, then the break even point is when 14x = 12x + 36000

subtract 12x from both sides of this equation to get 14x - 12x = 36000.

combine like terms to get 2x = 36000.

divide both sides of this equation by 2 to get x = 18000.

that'a our answer.

the revenue will be equal to the cost when 18000 units are sold.

revenue = 14 * 18000 = 252000.

cost = 12 * 18000 + 36000 = 252000.
