When we have this equation:
             CO(g) + Cl2(g) ↔ COCl2(g)
intial   0.147       0.175              0
change -X           -X                 +X
final   (0.147-X)   (0.175-X)          X

so from the ICE table, we substitute in Kc formula :(when we have Kc = 255)

Kc = [COCl2]/[CO][Cl2]
255= X / (0.147-X)(0.175-X)
255 = X / (X^2 - 0.322 X + 0.025725)
X = 0.13
∴[CO] = 0.147 - X = 0.147 - 0.13
           = 0.017 m

How many moles of ions are there in 3 moles of calcium chloride?
klemol [59]

Answer:

9 moles of ions

Explanation:

Our compound is: CaCl₂(s)

We dissociate it:

CaCl₂(aq) → Ca²⁺ (aq) + 2Cl⁻(aq)

Per 1 mol of chloride, we have 1 mol of calcium cation and 2moles of chlorides, so in total we have 3 moles of ions.

Therefore in 3 moles of chloride, we would have 9 moles of ions (3 . 3)

Determine the temperature change when a 100. g block of gold is supplied with 1.00 x 103 J of heat will give brainliest pls help
rusak2 [61]

Answer:

77.5°C

Explanation:

Data obtained from the question include the following:

Mass (M) = 100g

Heat (Q) = 1x10^3 J

Change of temperature (ΔT) =..?

Note: The specific heat capacity (C) of gold = 0.129 J/g°C

With the above information obtained from the question, we can obtain the change in temperature as follow:

Q = MCΔT

Divide both side by MC

ΔT = Q/MC

ΔT = 1x10^3 / (100 x 0.129)

ΔT = 77.5°C

Therefore, the change in temperature is 77.5°C
