Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Remark

I hope you don't mind if I laughed a little at the graph. The y intercept of the line is at 10 dollars, but the rental car has not moved an inch. I guess they're charging you to look at your driver's license. It's late, and maybe I am a little giddy.

Begin by using a ruler (or some other straight edge) to join all the dots.

a) I'll spend a little time here. It is very important that you know how to read a chart and this question is your first step. The question is how many dollars does it take to go 40 miles? There is a system. Start with the 40 miles on the horizontal axis (x axis if you know that that is).

Use a ruler to go straight up until you hit the line.

  • When you hit the line, mark the place.
  • Now move straight across until you hit the y axis where you find out the money.
  • You should get 30 dollars.

b) This question is a guess.

  • You can find the 70 dollars easily enough. Go straight up again until you hit the line.
  • Mark the point on the line.
  • Go straight across again.
  • Not so easy. It isn't marked. You have to make a guess. My guess is 45. What do you think?

c) This question is the exact reverse of the other two.

  • This time you start with the amount of money
  • So you start at 60 dollars and go straight across until you hit the line.
  • Mark the point.
  • Now take your ruler and go straight down.
  • You should hit 100 miles.

What is the value of A(6), the surface area of a sphere with a radius of 6 units?
Paraphin [41]
Here, we have: A(r) = 4πr²
We need to calculate it for r = 6,
A(6) = 4π(6)²
A(6) = 4π(36)
A(6) = 144π

In short, Your Answer would be Option D

Hope this helps!

If sin θ = 1 over 3 and tan θ < 0, what is the value of cos θ? (1 point)
Illusion [34]

\sin\theta=\dfrac13>0, so

\tan\theta=\dfrac{\sin\theta}{\cos\theta}

Recall that

\cos^2\theta+\sin^2\theta=1

for all \theta, and knowing that \cos\theta we have

\cos\theta=-\sqrt{1-\sin^2\theta}=-\dfrac{2\sqrt2}3

¿Qué masa tiene 3 1/2 litros de leche?
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer: 3 kg 605 g

Step-by-step explanation:

V_{milk}=3\frac{1}{2} \ l=3.5\ l\ \ \ \ \ \rho_{milk}=1.03\ kg/l^3\\\displaystyle\\.\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \boxed {\rho=\frac{m}{V} }\\

Multiply both parts of the equation by V:

m=\rho V\\\\=1.03*3.5\\\\=3.605\ kg
