No, it is not a function.
Since all the lines have been drawn in the grid line do not have any connection between them even a point in common.
I hope this has been useful for you.

For a relation to be a function, each x-coordinate can appear only once.
If you have more than one ordered pair with the same x-coordinate, the relation is not a function.
One way to determine whether or not it is a function is to use the vertical line test.
Imagine a vertical line moving from left to right. If the vertical line intersects at most one point of the graph in any position it is, the graph is a function.

As the vertical line goes from x = -4 to just before x = -1, it only intersects on point at a time. At x = -1, y = 1, the solid dot, so at x = -1, the vertical line also only intersects one point. Then the vertical line goes from x = -1 to just left of x = 1. Again, it passes the vertical line. At x = 1, y is not equal to 1 or to 2 since those points have open dots. At x = 1, y is only -2. The vertical line only intersects one point at x = 1. From x = 1 to past x = 4, the relation also passes the vertical line test.

The graph of the function passes the vertical line test everywhere, so the relation in the graph is a function.

Chris sale has won 60% of the games he pitched. If he pitched 35 games how many did he win!
wariber [46]

Answer:

21

Step-by-step explanation:

Find 60% of 35.

To do this you have to multiply 60 by 35, and divide that answer by 100, and your answer should that number. In this case, the answer is 21, because 60x35 is 2100, and 2100/100 is 21.

sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

if your 4.5-year-old sister was asked to Put the bunny on the blanket on the shelf, she may or may not  if your 4.5-year-old sister was asked to Put the bunny on the blanket on the shelf. But,the chance is very likely less than 50%.

Step-by-step explanation:

If your 4.5-year-old sister was asked to Put the bunny on the blanket on the shelf, the chance that she might follow the instructions she receives is less 50 percent. In other words:

                                      Chance < 50%

The reason is that children at this age may have challenging time figuring out the subject when you may instruct certain things to do, as the sentences could be tricky for the children to decode the meaning.

So,  if your 4.5-year-old sister was asked to Put the bunny on the blanket on the shelf, she may or may not  if your 4.5-year-old sister was asked to Put the bunny on the blanket on the shelf. But,the chance is very likely less than 50%.

Answer:

Rent in 10th year = $5345.90

Step-by-step explanation:

Rent of apartment during first year = $1800 per month

But growth in rent with 11.5% per year will be represented by the exponential function,

Rent in 't'th year = \text{Initial rent}(1+\frac{\text{Growth rate}}{100})^{\text{time}}

                          = 1800(1+\frac{11.5}{100})^t

                          = 1800(1.115)^t

Therefore, rent during 10th year will be,

Rent in 10th year = 1800(1.115)^{10}

                            = $5345.90
