Answer:

the value of j in the given expression is: 16

Step-by-step explanation:

we are given the expression as:

\sqrt{j}+\sqrt{j}+14=3\sqrt{j}+10

2\sqrt{j}+14=3\sqrt{j}+10\\  \\3\sqrt{j}-2\sqrt{j}=14-10\\\\\sqrt{j}=4

so on squaring both side we have j=16.

Hence the value of j is 16.

The answer is 16.

The equation is:
√j + √j + 14 = 3√j + 10
2√j + 14 = 3√j + 10
14 - 10 = 3√j - 2√1
4 = √j

Now, we will square both sides of the equation:
4² = (√j)²
16 = j.

Therefore, j is 16.

Answer:

x=1 I'm not sure if I'm correct

Step-by-step explanation:

4x2x=8x

4x3=12

4x3x=12x

4x2=8

8x+12=12x+8

8x-12x= 8-12

-4x=-4 divide -4x in both side so the answer should be x=1

Jim wants to buy an electric saw marked $98.00. If the salesperson offers him a discount of 15%, how much will he have to pay fo
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

$83.30

Step-by-step explanation:

Find how much he will have to pay by multiplying the price by 0.85, since this will calculate what 85% of the price is (with the 15% discount):

98(0.85)

= 83.3

So, he will have to pay $83.30 for the saw

What advice would you give to a person having problems in geometry overall.( I understood algebra but gemotery is so much more d
Ket [755]
I am currently taking Geometry right now, so I understand where you are coming from. I think it's just a matter of approaching it differently. My teacher always says she is trying to get us to think, not memorize. If you think a tutor would help you, then go for it! Just make sure you are learning the material not just for the grade, but so that you actually understand it. That's the most important part. Good luck!

Vikki [24]

The length of each scarf knitted for the 7 friends given the total length of the scarf altogether is 5.7 ft

<h3>Length of each scarf</h3><h3 />
  • Number of friends = 7
  • Total length of scarf = 39.9 ft

Length of each scarf = Total length of scarf / Number of friends

= 39.9 ft / 7

= 5.7 ft

Therefore, the length of each scarf knitted for the 7 friends given the total length of the scarf altogether is 5.7 ft
