Rafael is taking a test that contains a section of 12 true-false questions. How many of the possible groups of answers to these
timurjin [86]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Rafael is taking a test that contains a section of 12 true-false questions. At least 6 correct answers of true means that 6 answers are true, 7 are true, 8 are true, 9 are true, 10 are true, 11 are true or 12 are true.

Then

C_6^{12}=\dfrac{12!}{6!(12-6)!}=924,\\ \\C_7^{12}=\dfrac{12!}{7!(12-7)!}=792,\\ \\C_8^{12}=\dfrac{12!}{8!(12-8)!}=495,\\ \\C_9^{12}=\dfrac{12!}{9!(12-9)!}=220,\\ \\C_{10}^{12}=\dfrac{12!}{10!(12-10)!}=66,\\ \\C_{11}^{12}=\dfrac{12!}{11!(12-11)!}=12,\\ \\C_{12}^{12}=\dfrac{12!}{12!(12-12)!}=1.

Hence there are

924+792+495+220+66+12+1=2510

possible groups.

1. The Cajun Heartland State Fair charges $1.25 per ticket for the rides. Johnny bought 25 tickets for the rides and spent a tot
vladimir1956 [14]

<u>Part (a)</u>

The variable y is the dependent variable and the variable x is the independent variable.

<u>Part (b)</u>

The cost of one ticket is $1.25. Therefore, the cost of 25 tickets will be: .

Now, we know that Johnny spent his money only on ride tickets and fair admission and that he spent a total of $43.75.

Therefore, the price of the fair admission is: $43.75-$31.25=$12.5

If we use y to represent the total cost and x to represent the number of ride tickets, the linear equation that can be used to determine the cost for anyone who only pays for ride tickets and fair admission can be  written as:

y=1.25x+12.5......Equation 1

<u>Part (c)</u>

The above equation is logical because, in general, the total cost of the rides will depend upon the number of ride tickets bought and that will be 1.25x. Now, even if one does not take any rides, that is when x=0, they still will have to pay for the fair admission, and thus their total cost, y=$12.5.

Likewise, any "additional" cost will depend upon the number of ride tickets bought as already suggested. Thus, the total cost will be the sum of the total ride ticket cost and the fixed fair admission cost. Thus, the above Equation 1 is the correct representative linear equation of the question given.

It was John's birthday, 1/2 of his cupcakes were choco lava, the other half was strawberry. There were 10 strawberry cupcakes. R
igomit [66]
If there were 10 strawberry cupcakes then chocolate would have the same number as 10= 1/2. Then 2/4 can be simplified to 1/2 meaning that Rick are 1/2 of 10 and 1/10 is just one out of the 10 strawberry cupcakes.
