I did this is school. Perpendicular is kinda like the opposite of the line so instead of being a positive line you would make the slope negative and make the line negative

Hope I explained this right

jarptica [38.1K]
She is correct.

She starts with 50
Each square foot adds 3 dollars...
so Square feet can be represented by x, and cost will be y... giving this linear function:

Lapatulllka [165]

Step-by-step explanation:

1) -5n+10n

= 5n

2) -x-9+2x-10

= 2x-x-9-10

= x-19

3) -5(x-10)-x

= -5x+50-x

= -6x+50

4) 9-5(1-7x)

= 9-5+35x

= 35x+4

5) y^2-x

= 3^2-2

= 9-2

= 7

NikAS [45]

Part A

5x 3y^3 2z

I know it is in standard form because there are no more like terms.

Part B: Polynomials are always closed under multiplication. Unlike with addition and subtraction, both the coefficients and exponents can change. The variables and coefficients will automatically fit in a polynomial. When there are exponents in a multiplication problem, they are added, so they will also fit in a polynomial.

<u>Algebra II</u>

  • Distance Formula: \displaystyle d = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

<em>Identify</em>

Point (-1, -3.75)

Point (-1, 4.5)

<u>Step 2: Find distance </u><em><u>d</u></em>

Simply plug in the 2 coordinates into the distance formula to find distance <em>d</em>

  1. Substitute in points [Distance Formula]:                                                         \displaystyle d = \sqrt{(-1--1)^2+(4.5--3.75)^2}
  2. [√Radical] (Parenthesis) Subtract:                                                                   \displaystyle d = \sqrt{(0)^2+(8.25)^2}
  3. [√Radical] Evaluate exponents:                                                                       \displaystyle d = \sqrt{0+68.0625}
  4. [√Radical] Add:                                                                                                 \displaystyle d = \sqrt{68.0625}
  5. [√Radical] Evaluate:                                                                                          \displaystyle d = 8.25
