Natali [406]

1. The main aim of the Human Genome Project was to determine the DNA Sequence of every human gene.

2. Variation in skin colour is an example of polygenic inheritance

This Human Karyotype is unusual because it has an extra chromosome at chromosome 21.

Klinefelters syndrome is shown in the second figure

Explanation:

1. The Human Genome Project's main goal was to sequence all the 30,000 genes and 3 million base pairs in their makeup for the early detection of diseases, gene therapy and molecular level studies.

2. Human skin colour is determined by the pigment melanin. The Dominant allele is responsible for dark colours as it produces more melanin. The melanocortin 1 receptor (MC1R) gene and Tyrosinase enzyme codes for the human skin colour. Polygenic inheritance are the traits which are controlled by one or more genes.

figures:

The extra chromosome at the 21st chromosome pairs is called trisomy 21 or Down's Syndrome. It is due to the abnormal cell division/meiosis resulting in an extra X chromosome. This leads to thechanges the in physical development of the individual.

Klinefelter's Syndrome: There are 47 chromosomes and 2 or more X chromosomes in this syndrome of males. The resulting male suffering from Klinefelter would be sterile and have poorly developed testicles.

What dies survivor ship curve mean? What an easy way to remember what it means?
vredina [299]
Survivorship curve = so, first of all, it's a curve, as in a graph.

It describes "survivorship" - the rate of survival, in other words: out of 100 organisms that are born, how many survive. This rate is different among species, for example, most humans live out to most of their life span, and almost all can survive well beyond a reproductive age.

However, in frogs for example, many many individuals are born, but only few can survive to adulthood: most die very young, before reproductive age.

So if you hear about a new species: let's say dogs, and you want to know how long they would live, you would look at their sirvivorship curve (and in some breeds of dogs, those that are likely not to be in shelters, but in homes, the survivorship curve would be similar as in humans: almost all individuals born can live long.

When a researcher transplanted the nucleus of an intestinal cell from a tadpole into an egg cell whose nucleus had been destroye
sveta [45]

Answer:

(C) each cell of an organism has all the genes needed for development.

Explanation:

According to my research on studies conducted on Genetics, I can say that based on the information provided within the question this illustrates that each cell of an organism has all the genes needed for development. If this were not the case then the frog would either not be born or would be born with serious abnormalities because the cell did not have the necessary genes needed for the frog to form correctly.

I hope this answered your question. If you have any more questions feel free to ask away at Brainly.
