Given Information:

Unit labor cost = 0.9

Hourly output per worker = $32.50

Required Information:

Hourly compensation per worker = ?

Answer:

Hourly compensation per worker = $36

Step-by-step explanation:

The unit labor cost is given by

U = \frac{O}{W}

Where W is the hourly compensation per worker, O is the hourly output per worker and U is the unit labor cost.

Re-arranging for the hourly compensation yields,

U = \frac{O}{W}\\\\W =\frac{O}{U}\\ \\

Now substitute the given values

W =\frac{32.50}{0.9}\\\\W = 36.11\\\\W = \$ 36

Therefore, the hourly compensation per worker is $36.

Bonus:

Unit labor cost is the amount incurred with regard to labor expenses to produce one unit of a product. Calculating the unit labor cost helps in analyzing other aspects of the business such as product pricing, profit margin, sales etc.

Step-by-step explanation:

You basically have to divide your number from a prime factor until your result is 1

For example

12

you divide it from the lowest prime number possible, for in this case, 2

12/2 = 6 and you can set aside 2 for now

You do the same thing and you divide it by 2

6/2 = 3 and set aside 2

Now 3 isn't divisible by 2 so you'll find another number, for in this case 3

3/3 = 1

your set side numbers are now 2,2,3

so you'll find out 12 = 2x2x3 as a product of it's prime factors

how ever you cant divide it by 4 or 6 since they aren't prime factors as they are divisible by other numbers

Explain why 3(5x) is not equivalent to (3*5)(3*x).
Nookie1986 [14]
Wow. Ok, really simple, honestly. Because 3(5x) = 15x. (3*5)(3*x) = 3*5 = 15*3 = 45x. Therefore, 15x and 45x do not correspond to each other at all, meaning that 3(5x) is not equivalent to (3*5)(3*x)!!!
