An impulse relayed along a myelinated axon "jumps" from Node of Ranvier to Node Ranvier. Axons insulated by a Myelin sheath are able to conduct impulses faster than those not so insulated. Schwann cells are types of cells that makes up the myelin sheath of a motor neuron. An impulse moves toward a neuron's cell body along Dendrites.

Which health care provider assessment technique does the nurse anticipate being used to determine developmental dysplasia of the
Arlecino [84]
A nurse can identify possible developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) during a newborn assessment through asymmetry of the gluteal folds. Asymmetrical buttock creases can suggest hip dysplasia in infants but an ultrasound or x-ray study will need to be done to determine whether the hips are normal or not just like a hip click.

A type of cellular transport is shown. Which description best identifies this type of cellular transport? Your answer: A.Osmosis
madreJ [45]

Answer:

B.Active transport, because energy is being used to move molecules against the concentration gradient

Explanation:

Substances move in and out of living cells through various transport means. Some substances move passively (without energy) while others move actively (with energy). Active transport of substances involves the movement of molecules against the concentration gradient.

Active transport moves against concentration gradient in the sense that the movement occurs from a region which is less concentrated to one which is more concentrated, hence, energy input in form of ATP is required for such transport to occur. This is the case of the cellular transport in the diagram. Therefore, it is an ACTIVE TRANSPORT because energy input (ATP) is required.

Note, Osmosis and facilitated diffusion are types of passive transport that requires no energy to occur.

what concerns should high school and college athletic coaches have about the potential for their player to have sickle-cell trai
vladimir1956 [14]

Sickle cell trait is not a disease; it is an inherited red blood cell condition that can affect athletes at all levels. While sickle cell trait is not a barrier to playing competitive sports, athletes with sickle cell trait have experienced significant physical distress, including collapse and death during intense exercise. Heat, dehydration, inadequate acclimatization, altitude and asthma can increase the risk for medical complications in athletes with sickle cell trait Through awareness, education and proper physical conditioning under the supervision of a primary athletics health care provider, athletes with sickle cell trait may safely achieve outstanding athletic performance

Help me with this _XX
expeople1 [14]

Answer:

B. Hardness

Explanation:

Physical properties of a substance is defined as the properties which can be observed or measured without changing the composition of matter.

Physical properties include odor, appearance, color, texture, boiling point, melting point and many others.

Hardness is a physical property of a substance as it describes the  resistance of substance to deformation and can be observed by simple touch or without changing the composition of matter.

While reactivity, toxicity and flammability are chemical properties of substances that change one type of matter into another type.

Hence, the correct option is B.
