Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The difference would be that for (-5)^2 you would have to do anything that was in the parenthesis first and then square it up, but for -5^2 you would just square it up immediately. In this specific case both outcomes would be the same result and the answer would be 25 since a negative times a negative is a positive. It would be the same because there is nothing in the parenthesis.

The difference is that with the parentheses the negative sign is removed but the one without the parentheses will stay negative.

The reason for this is because -5^2 without the parentheses is the same as 0-5^2 which is -25

But with the parentheses the actual number is negative because (0-5)^2 is the same as (-5)^2 and a negative square is a positive

What is the solution to the system of equations?
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

(3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Here's your given:

y = 4x - 10

y = 2

Because they both equal y, that means they equal each other:

2 = 4x - 10

Add 10 on both sides:

12 = 4x

Then, divide 4 on both sides:

3 = x

This represents the x coordinate.

Normally you would put this value into one of the equations to figure out y, but they already gave us that in the beginning:

y = 2

This represents the y coordinate.

Put the two values together to get: (3,2)

Simplify: √27 A. 3√3 B. 9√3 C. 3√9 D. 5√3
blagie [28]
To simplify square root 27, find two numbers that equal 27. But also, one of the numbers should be a perfect square (such as 4, 9, 36...).

9*3=27. The square root of 9 is 3, which makes it a perfect square. So, the answer is A.
