The pilot of an airplane executes a loop-the-loop maneuver in a vertical circle. The speed of the airplane is 240 mi/h, at the t

op of the loop and 450 mi/h at the bottom, and the radius of the circle is 1 340 ft. Note: His apparent weight is equal to the magnitude of the force exerted by the seat on his body. (a) What is the pilot's apparent weight at the lowest point if his true weight is 160 lb

Answer:

The pilot's apparent weight at the lowest point is 1994.29 lb (if his true weight is 160 lb).

Explanation:

a)  To convert from mi/h to ft/s clown, we will first multiply by 44, then divide by 30

450 mi/h = 450 * 44 / 30

              = 19800/30

              = 660

Thus, 450 mi/h = 660 ft/s

Acceleration due to the loop

= 660^2 / 1180

= 369.152 ft/s^2

Acceleration due to gravity = 32.2 ft/s^2

Total downward  acceleration = 369.152 + 32.2

= 401.352 ft/s^2

True weight = 160 lb

Apparent weight = 401.352 * 160 / 32.2

                            = 1994.29 lb

a cat is blinded in one eye in a fight. when this cat later sexually reproduces with another cat, how will the blindness affect
AfilCa [17]
There will be no effect on the offspring because the blindness was the result of an injury and not related to genetics. If the parent cat was blind at birth, then depending on the cause, the blindness could *possibly* have been genetic, but that is not the case in this situation.
