The pilot of an airplane executes a loop-the-loop maneuver in a vertical circle. The speed of the airplane is 240 mi/h, at the t

op of the loop and 450 mi/h at the bottom, and the radius of the circle is 1 340 ft. Note: His apparent weight is equal to the magnitude of the force exerted by the seat on his body. (a) What is the pilot's apparent weight at the lowest point if his true weight is 160 lb

Answer:

The pilot's apparent weight at the lowest point is 1994.29 lb (if his true weight is 160 lb).

Explanation:

a) To convert from mi/h to ft/s clown, we will first multiply by 44, then divide by 30

450 mi/h = 450 * 44 / 30

              = 19800/30

              = 660

Thus, 450 mi/h = 660 ft/s

Acceleration due to the loop

= 660^2 / 1180

= 369.152 ft/s^2

Acceleration due to gravity = 32.2 ft/s^2

Total downward acceleration = 369.152 + 32.2

= 401.352 ft/s^2

True weight = 160 lb

Apparent weight = 401.352 * 160 / 32.2

                            = 1994.29 lb

Renin hydrolyzes angiotensinogen, which is released from the _________, to form angiotensin i.
tia_tia [17]

Renin is an enzyme that helps control blood pressure and regulate levels of sodium and potassium in the body. Angiotensinogen is the hormone that causes the narrowing of blood vessels. It is released from liver to form angiotensin.

What is the role of angiotensin?

Angiotensinogen is a hormone that on hydrolysis forms angiotensin

Angiotensinogen is hydrolyzed by renin enzyme and forms angiotensin.

This angiotensin helps to increase blood pressure by the process of vasoconstriction, increased aldosterone biosynthesis and renal actions.

Thus, it can be concluded renin hydrolyzes angiotensinogen, which is released from the liver, to form angiotensin.
