1. Is the relationship between velocity and centripetal force a direct, linear relationship or is it a nonlinear square relation
Svetllana [295]

Answer:

non linear square relationship

Explanation:

formula for centripetal force is given as

a = mv^2/r

here a ic centripetal acceleration , m is mass of body moving in circle of radius r and v is velocity of body . If m ,and r are constant we have

a = constant × v^2

a α v^2

hence non linear square relationship

In the Compton effect, the wavelength of the scattered photon is __________ the wavelength of the incident photon.
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

he wavelength is different (greater) than the wavelength of the incident photon

Explanation:

The Compton effect is the scattering of a photon by an electron, this process is analyzed using the conservation of momentum, in which we assume that initially the electron is at rest and after the collision it recedes, therefore the energy of the incident photon decreases and consequently its wavelength changes

To complete the sentence we use the wavelength is different (greater) than the wavelength of the incident photon

What happens to the volume of an ideal gas as temperature drops
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Based on the ideal gas equation, the pressure (P), volume (V) and temperature (T) corresponding to n moles of an ideal gas are related as:

PV = nRT

where R = gas constant

Under conditions of constant pressure and  number of moles:

The volume is directly proportional to the pressure. Therefore, as the temperature drops the volume will also decrease.

V α T

This is also known as the Charles Law.
