Hello,

As you have not provided the graph, I can teach you how to answer the question.

You are solving for the slope of the line. The slope can be found by using the following equation:

slope (signified by the variable <em>m</em>) = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}

Note that the numbers does not exactly matter, only that what you set as variable x_1, the y inside that coordinate will also be y_1, and likewise for point 2.

For example, let us say your points for your line is (3 , 6) and (10 , 4)

Let:

(x_1 , y_1) = ( 3 , 6)

(x_2 , y_2) = (10 , 4)

Plug in the corresponding numbers to the corresponding variables:

slope m = \frac{4 - 6}{10 - 3} = - \frac{2}{7}

The given points will result in a -\frac{2 }{7} slope.

Hope this helps!

James has eight coins in his pocket. All the coins are either dimes or quarters.The total value of the coins is $1.25. How many
Goshia [24]

Answer:

he has 5d+3q

Step-by-step explanation:

since every d is .10 and every q is .25 the equation can be changed to 5(.10)+3(.25) which is equal to .5+.75 which adds up to 1.25

i did this by assuming that the amount of d is 8 at first, then change one of the 8 d to a q which will give you 7d+q, then assume another d is a q which will give you 6d+2q, repeat this until the amount of d and q add up to 1.25
