Answer:

option B: 31/4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

-3/4, -2/3 , -7/12, -1/2...........

General formula for arithmeti sequence to find nth term is

a_n = a_1 + (n-1) d

first term a_1 = -3/4

We find out common difference 'd'

Lets find the difference of first two terms

\frac{-2}{3} -\frac{-3}{4} = \frac{-8}{12} +\frac{9}{12} =\frac{1}{12}

common difference is 1/12

now we need to find 103rd term

a_n = a_1 + (n-1) d

First term is -3/4, d= 1/12

a_{103} = \frac{-3}{4}+(103-1)\frac{1}{12}

a_{103} = \frac{-3}{4}+(102)\frac{1}{12}

a_{103} = \frac{-3}{4}+\frac{34}{4}

a_{103} = \frac{-3+34}{4}

a_{103} = \frac{31}{4}

Montano1993 [528]

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the compound interest formula:

A = P( 1 + r/n)^nt

A is the amount at the end

P is the principal or original amount.

R is annual rate as a decimal (you have to convert)

N is the # of compounding periods in a year (quarterly means 4)

T is time in years

A = 500( 1 + 0.0475/4)^(4×20)

This would be $1285.64 when fully computed.

HELP PLEASEEE, I REALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THESE QUESTIONS. THANK YOU HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!! ASAP
ziro4ka [17]

Answer:  New Mean = $40,920

                New Median = $38,500

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

5 employee's salaries are as follows in order from least to greatest:

       $32,000 - unknown - $38,500 - unknown - unknown

The median (middle number) is: $38,500

The mean (average) of the 5 salaries is: $40,300

If $3,100 is added to the $32,000 salary, then the mean(average) is increased by \dfrac{\$3100}{5\ salaries}=\$620.

Old Mean + increase = New Mean

$40,300  +  $ 620    = $40,920

The median (middle number) does not change. It is still $38,500

A company makes two different-sized ice cream cones. The smaller cones are 3.5 inches tall and have a diameter of 3 inches. The
barxatty [35]

Answer:

The Volume of large cone is  19.545 inches^3 greater than the smaller cone

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Size of the small cone =  3.5 inches

Diameter of the small cone  = 3 inches

Size of the large cone =  3.5 inches

Diameter of the small cone  = 3 inches

To Find:

How much greater, to the nearest tenth of a cubic inch, is the volume of the larger cone than the volume of the smaller cone = ?

Solution:

Volume of the small cone :

Radius = \frac{diameter}{2}

Radius = \frac{3}{2}

Radius = 1.5 inches

volume of the cone  =\pi rl

substituting the values,

=>\pi (1.5)(3.5)

=>\pi(5.25)

=> 16.485 inches^3

Volume of the large cone :

Volume of the large cone :

Radius = \frac{diameter}{2}

Radius = \frac{4.5}{2}

Radius = 2.25 inches

volume of the cone  =\pi rl

substituting the values,

=>\pi (2.25)(5.1)

=>\pi(11.475)

=>36.06 inches^3

Now ,

volume of small cone - volume of large cone

=>36.06 - 16.485

=>19.545 inches^3
