The right answer is metaphase II.

The process is performed in two nuclear and cytoplasmic divisions, called first and second meiotic division or simply meiosis I and meiosis II. Both include prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. First division prophase is long and consists of 5 stages: leptotene, zygotene, pachytene, diplotene, and diakinesis. It is at this point that genetic recombination takes place at the level of chiasmus.

During meiosis I, the members of each homologous pair of chromosomes are paired during prophase, forming bivalents. During this phase, a protein structure, called synaptonemal complex form, allows recombination between homologous chromosomes. Subsequently, a large condensation of the bivalent chromosomes occurs and go to the metaphase plate during the first metaphase, resulting in the migration of n chromosomes to each of the poles during the first anaphase. This reduction division is responsible for maintaining the number of chromosomes characteristic of each species.

In meiosis II, as in mitosis, the sister chromatids comprising each chromosome are separated and distributed between the nuclei of the daughter cells. Between these two successive steps, there is no DNA replication. The maturation of the daughter cells will result in the gametes.

Discuss the role played by transcription during replication.
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

Explanation:

Transcription is the process by which the information in a strand of DNA is copied into a new molecule of messenger RNA (mRNA). DNA safely and stably stores genetic material in the nuclei of cells as a reference, or template. Meanwhile, mRNA is comparable to a copy from a reference book because it carries the same information as DNA but is not used for long-term storage and can freely exit the nucleus. Although the mRNA contains the same information, it is not an identical copy of the DNA segment, because its sequence is complementary to the DNA template.

In circumstances where the body requires prolonged or increased levels of a hormone, the DNA of target cells will specify the sy
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

Up-regulation.

Explanation:

Hormones may be defined as the chemical messengers of the body that can transmit information and maintains homeostasis. The hormones can directly go into the bloodstream and may release through the special ducts.

The receptors of the hormone is required for the binding of the receptors. To maintain the normal homeostasis of the body, the body shows the up regulation and down regulation. In up regulation the hormone levels increases in the body by increasing the receptor on the specific target organ.

Thus, the correct answer is up regulation.
