Answer:

The correct answer is B= $61,500

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

Lund Company applies manufacturing overhead to jobs using a predetermined overhead rate of 75% of direct labor cost.

Any under or overapplied overhead is closed out to Cost of Goods Sold at the end of the calendar year.

During March:

Raw materials purchased= $27,00

Raw materials used in production= $28,000

Direct labor hours work= 2,500

Direct labor cost incurred= $20,000

Indirect labor cost incurred= $5,500

Manufacturing overhead costs incurred= $17,000

Raw material inventory, ending= $7,500

Work in process inventory, beginning= $10,500

Work in process inventory, ending= $14,000 (contains $5,000 of direct labor cost)

Cost of good manufactured= beginning work in process + direct material used + direct labor + manufacturing overhead - ending work in process

Cost of good manufactured= 10500 + 28000 + 20000 + 17000 - 14000= $61,500

Pure monopolists may obtain economic profits in the long run because:a.of advertising.b.of rising average fixed costs.c.marginal
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

The correct answer is option d.

Explanation:

A pure monopoly is a type of market structure where there is only a single firm in the market which is producing a good with no close substitutes. Such a market also has high barriers to entry.

A pure monopolist can have economic profits in the long run because of barriers to entry.

In the short run, all types of market structures can have positive profits because the short run is too short for new firms to enter.

But in the long run, if there is no or relatively low barrier to entry, positive profit will attract other firms to join the market. This will reduce profits to zero.

But the firms cannot enter into a pure monopoly market, so the monopolist can earn positive economic profits in the long run.

The mayor of your hometown has said she will request that the federal government extend a nearby interstate highway so that it p
Ivan

Answer:

  • an increase in discretionary spending and, if no other changes are made, an increase in the government's deficit
  • an increase in the government's debt

Explanation:

A budget deficit occurs when the federal government has more spending than it recites. That is, the government has many debts and can not raise enough money to pay these debts and maintain a good standard of living for citizens. The consequences of large budget deficits cause great damage to the country, especially for people with lower incomes. For this reason, it is necessary that in a deficit situation, the government reduced spending.

This is not the case with the government shown in the question above. Even in a budget deficit situation, the government wants to extend an interstate highway that will cost $ 35 million. The result of this will be:

  • an increase in discretionary spending and, if no other changes are made, an increase in the government's deficit
  • an increase in the government's debt

Discretionary expenses are those expenses for which the government has some degree of decision.

The Breeze trading company discloses the following information for the month of August 2016.
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

Periodic system: FIFO ; COGS= $11400, closing inventory = $7700, gross profit=$14000. LIFO = closing stock= 6600, COGS=$12500, gross profit=12900.

perpetual system: FIFO ;COGS=11400, closing stock= $7700, gross profit= $11400. LIFO ; COGS=$12500, closing stock= $6600, gross profit = $12900

Reason for a higher gross profit in FIFO than LIFO is some of the stock ends up not being sold as they are maybe old, out-fashioned, and obviously new trend come about everyday.

What is the primary goal of a society ?
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]
A.

Societies are built upon the idea and the foundation of ordering communities. It only makes sense that this order is there to protect the well-being of it's members.

I'd argue that the best of societies are those that promote spirituality, which is an aspect to wellness and well-being. Answer A definitely includes this, whereas answer C specifies and focuses on only this aspect.
