Answer:

<h2>Holes.</h2><h2>Slant asymptote.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The terms holes when we talk about rational function, refers to a point that represents a discontinuity, that is, the point is not part of the function, it's undetermined, that's why is called a hole, because the graph of the rational function can be drawn perfectly, but at some point the function jumps over a "hole". Specifically, these "holes" tend to be just a point of discontinuation, and the graph continues its course.

On the other hand, slant slope asymptotes refers to oblique asymptotes.

Asymptotes also represent a discontinuation of the function when some element of the domain is undetermined, that is, when some <em>x-value </em>give 0/0 as a result, which cannot be determined. For example, if a rational function is undetermined at <em>x = 1</em>, that means <em>x = 1, </em>represents an asymptote, which is a not-solid line through which the function cannot past. So, in this case we are talking about oblique asymptotes, that what means "slant asymptote".

So, as you can see, these two terms are key feature of a rational functions, because they defines the function as such.

You are working at a Silver Mountain Tea bottling plant! The bottles of iced tea are supposed to be filled with 12 ounces of liq
Ede4ka [16]

Answer: (12.007\ , \ 12.033)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Sample size : n= 36 , which is a large sample (n>30) so the test applied here is z-test.

Significance level : \alpha: 1-0.95=0.05

Using Standard normal table , Critical value : z_{\alpha/2}=1.96

Sample mean : \overline{x}=12.02

Standard deviation: \sigma= 0.04

The confidence interval for population means is given by :-

\overline{x}\pm z_{\alpha/2}\dfrac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

i.e.12.02\pm(1.96)\dfrac{0.04}{\sqrt{36}}

\approx12.02\pm0.013=(12.02-0.013,\ 12.02+0.013)\\\\=(12.007\ , \ 12.033)

Hence, the 95 percent confidence interval for the fill rate = (12.007\ , \ 12.033)

Write an expression with a variable m, a coefficient -3, and a constant of 17
Svetlanka [38]

Answer

-3m + 17

Step-by-step explanation:

A coefficient is a number that goes in front of the variable, so -3 would go in front of m. A constant is just a number on it's own, so it would be +17

What characteristic below distinguishes a quantitative research question from a research hypothesis? Group of answer choices One
denpristay [2]

Answer:

One is a question and the other is a prediction.

Step-by-step explanation:

A quantitative research is based on numbers and data.

A research hypothesis is a prediction or an explanation that will be proven right or wrong given the results found in the research. And the quantitative research question is a question that will define the porpuse and will guide what we want to get out of the investigation.

Thus, the characteristic that distinguishes them is:

One is a question and the other is a prediction.

Where the question is the quantitative research question and the prediction is the research hypothesis.
