Mrs. Wiley wants a gas range because she wants immediate control over the heat levels on the burners. Mr. Wiley wants an electri

c range because he doesn't want to have to keep lighting the pilot light on the gas range. Point out any false reasoning that you find. You may recommend one of the items they mention, or you may suggest something entirely different.

They could go with one that does not pollute the air as much or they could buy the one that cost less. I would say to go with the electric one because it is more efficient and safe. Overall they should just compromise.

A planet of mass m moves around the Sun of mass M in an elliptical orbit. The maximum and minimum distance of the planet from th
zzz [600]

Answer:

the relation between the time period of the planet is

T = 2π √[( r1 + r2 )³ / 8GM ]

Explanation:

Given the data i  the question;

mass of sun = M

minimum and maximum distance = r1 and r2 respectively

Now, using Kepler's third law,

" the square of period T of any planet is proportional to the cube of average distance "

T² ∝ R³

average distance a = ( r1 + r2 ) / 2

we know that

T² = 4π²a³ / GM

T² = 4π² [( ( r1 + r2 ) / 2 )³ / GM ]

T² = 4π² [( ( r1 + r2 )³ / 8 ) / GM ]

T² = 4π² [( r1 + r2 )³ / 8GM ]

T = √[ 4π² [( r1 + r2 )³ / 8GM ] ]

T = 2π √[( r1 + r2 )³ / 8GM ]

Therefore, the relation between the time period of the planet is

T = 2π √[( r1 + r2 )³ / 8GM ]

A truck is speeding up as it travels on an interstate. The truck's momentum (in kg · m/s) is proportional to the truck's speed (
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

a)48300 times

b)P = 821100  kg · m/s

Explanation:

Given that

m = 48300 kg

v= 23 m/s

We know that linear momentum (P) given as

P = m v

P = 48300 x 23  kg · m/s

So we can say that truck momentum is 48300 times its velocity.

Now given that

v= 17 m/s

P = m v

P = 48300 x 17  kg · m/s

P = 821100  kg · m/s
