7x + 2(x + 1) = 4 \\ 7x + 2x + 2 = 4 \\ 9x  + 2 = 4 \\ 9x = 2 \\ x =  \frac{2}{9}  \\  \\ y =  \frac{2}{9}  + 1 =  \frac{11}{9}  \\ ( \frac{2}{9}  \:  \frac{11}{9} )

It’s B.

y=x+1

7x+2(x+1)=4

y=x+1
9x+2=4

Subtract 4-2 from the second equation.

The we have y=x+1

9x=2

x=2/9

Then plug in x into the other equation bc now we know it!

y=2/9+1

Which is 11/9

I hope this helps!!!

How many 3/4 cup servings are in 12 cups of cherries?
AveGali [126]

Answer:

16 serving.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: 3/4 cup servings.

Now, computing the number of serving in 12 cups of cherries.

Using unitary method to solve.

∴ Number of serving= total\ cups \times number\ of\ serving\ per\ cup

Number of serving in one cup is \frac{4}{3}

Number of serving in 12 cups = 12\times \frac{4}{3} = 16 \ serving

Number of serving in 12 cups= 16\ serving

∴ There are 16 serving is possible in 12 cups of cherries.

Please help and explain how you solved it. Thanks.
galina1969 [7]

Answer:

This is 0.14 to the nearest hundredth

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly we list the parameters;

Drive to school = 40

Take the bus = 50

Walk = 10

Sophomore = 30

Junior = 35

Senior = 35

Total number of students in sample is 100

Let W be the event that a student walked to school

So P(w) = 10/100 = 0.1

Let S be the event that a student is a senior

P(S) = 35/100 = 0.35

The probability we want to calculate can be said to be;

Probability that a student walked to school given that he is a senior

This can be represented and calculated as follows;

P( w| s) = P( w n s) / P(s)

w n s is the probability that a student walked to school and he is a senior

We need to know the number of seniors who walked to school

From the table, this is 5/100 = 0.05

So the Conditional probability is as follows;

P(W | S ) = 0.05/0.35 = 0.1429

To the nearest hundredth, that is 0.14

Your friend Alex has won a scholarship to study abroad. Alex has
JulijaS [17]

The inequality that represents the amount of money Alex needs to earn is y = 11.50x and 9x + 100.

<h3>How to depict the information?</h3>

The slope and the y intercept of both of the works will be:

For the tech company:

y = 11.50x

m = 11.50

y = 11.50(8 × 20)

y = 11.50(160)

y = 1840

For the amusement park

amusement parky = 9x + 100

amusement parky = 9x + 100y = 9(320) + 100

y = 2880 + 100

y = 2980.

When he wants to make the exact amount, the number of hours will be:

9x + 100 = 2200

9x = 2200 - 100

9x = 2100

x = 233.3
