Answer:

a) 98 m/s

b) 19.6 s

c)  1449.8 m

d)  29.6 s

e)  168.6 m/s

f)  46.8 s

Explanation:

Given that

Acceleration of the rocket, a = 5 m/s²

Altitude of the rocket, s = 960 m

a)

Using the equation of motion

v² = u² + 2as, considering that the initial velocity, u is 0. Then

v² = 2as

v = √2as

v = √(2 * 5 * 960)

v = √9600

v = 98 m/s

b)

Using the equation of motion

S = ut + ½at², considering that initial velocity, u = 0. So that

S = ½at²

t² = 2s/a

t² = (2 * 960) / 5

t² = 1920 / 5

t² = 384

t = √384 = 19.6 s

c)

Using the equation of motion

v² = u² + 2as, where u = 98 m/s, a = -9.8 m/s², so that

0 = 98² + 2(-9.8) * s

9600 = 19.6s

s = 9600/19.6

s = 489.8 m

The maximum altitude now is

960 m + 489.8 m = 1449.8 m

d)

Using the equation of motion

v = u + at, where initial velocity, u = 98 m, a = -9.8 m/s. So that

0 = 98 +(-9.8 * t)

98 = 9.8t

t = 98/9.8

t = 10 s

Total time then is, 10 + 19.6 = 29.6 s

e) using the equation of motion

v² = u² + 2as, where initial velocity, u = o, acceleration a = 9.8 m/s, and s = 1449.8 m. So that,

v² = 0 + 2 * 9.8 * 1449.8

v² = 28416.08

v = √28416.08

v = 168.6 m/s

f) using the equation of motion

S = ut + ½at², where s = 1449.8 m and a = 9.8 m/s

1449.8 = 0 + ½ * 9.8 * t²

2899.6 = 9.8t²

t² = 2899.6/9.8

t² = 295.88

t = √295.88

t = 17.2 s

total time in air then is, 17.2 + 29.6 = 46.8 s

The colors you see during a sunset are caused by _____. the refraction of light by the atmosphere the absorption of light by the
love history [14]

Answer: the refraction of light by the atmosphere

Explanation: Refraction is the phenomenon in which there is a change in direction of light passing from one medium to another or from a gradual change in the medium.

Here in case of sunset, the sun rays passes through the varying density of atmosphere because of varying concentrations of dust particles.

Reflection is the phenomenon in which the light bounces back after falling on a surface.

Absorption is the phenomenon in which matter captures the electromagnetic radiations and thus the energy of photons is converted to internal energy of the system.

anygoal [31]

Answer:

a) 23.2 e V

b) energy of the original photon is 36.8 eV

Explanation:

given,

energy at ground level = -13.6 e V

energy at first exited state = - 3.4 e V

A photon of energy ionized from ground state and electron of energy K is released.

h ν₁ - 13.6 = K

K combine with photon in first exited state giving out photon of energy

h\nu_2 =\dfrac{hc}{\lambda}=\dfrac{12400}{466}

            = 26.6 e V

h c = 6.626 ×  10⁻³⁴ ×  3  × 10⁸  = 12400 e V A°

K + ( 3.4 ) = 26.6 e V

a) energy of free electron

K = 26.6 - 3.4 = 23.2 e V

b) energy of the original photon

h ν₁ - 13.6 = K

h ν₁  = 23.2 + 13.6

       = 36.8 e V

energy of the original photon is 36.8 eV

Maria feels overwhelmed by everything she needs to do for school by next week. How can she best manage this stress?
FrozenT [24]

Answer: Option (b) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Stress is a situation in which our mind or body feel the pressure from our surroundings, ideas or thoughts. Stress causes distress in the body and mind of an individual.

For example, Ria has not done her homework and she is worried what punishment might her teacher give her when she get to know this.

When can get relive from stress by talking about our thoughts or worries with an individual. The other person might help us solve our problems or he might suggest us in a better way.

Therefore, we can conclude that Maria best manage this stress by talking to family, friends, and teachers for support.
