The EMT should suspect abdominal aortic aneurism. It is a condition where the lower part of the aorta is enlarged. The aorta is the main blood vessel that is supplying blood to the whole body. It runs from the heart to the abdomen. The cause for developing this is not certain, however, it is associated with tabacco use, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, infection and genetic factors.
