The light-dark cycle caused by the rising and setting of the sun is responsible for what are called circadian rhythms. These are biological processes that show a cycle of around 24 hours, the time between consecutive rising of the sun. Experiments have shown that without the external cue of sunlight, the circadian rhythms of organisms tend to break down. These can be reset by being re-exposed to these cues. Jet lag is due in part to a re-setting of the circadian rhythm, as you travel to a different time zone, your body has to become used to a different timing of night and day. <span>  </span>

B) lighting a match

Explanation:

a chemical change is a chemical reaction involving the rearrangement of atoms. While a physical change can often be reversed, a chemically change typically cannot.

Freezing water is a physical change because it can be reversed and does not alter the substance, which is water. a change in state i always a physical change

tearing up a piece of paper is a physical change since nothing on a molecular level has changed. its still paper.

Dissolving sugar in water is a <em>homogenous mixture</em>, meaning that it looks uniform without, however it is still only sugar and water, so it is a physical change.

During gas exchange, the cell membrane of a single-celled organism has the same function as which organ system in humans?
victus00 [196]

During gas exchange, the cell membrane of a single-celled organism has the same function as the respiratory system in humans. The respiratory system is a biological system which is composed of specific organs and structures such as nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi and lungs that are used for gas exchange in humans. The primary function of the respiratory system is to transport oxygen into the body and to breathe out carbon dioxide, which is a waste product of cellular function
