Solve for x: -0.25(-x-12)=2​

Expand the brackets by multiplying everything in the brackets by -0.25.

-x x -0.25 = 0.25x
-12 x -0.25 = 3

0.25x + 3 = 2

-3 from both sides.

0.25x = -1

Divide both by 0.25

x = -4
