for a person who understands natural logs (ln) vs logs. Why do we use (ln) to inverse an equation when there is no e in the orig

inal equation?

Answer:

Because e is used so commonly in math and economics, and people in these fields often need to take the logarithm with a base of e of a number to solve an equation or find a value, the natural log was created as a shortcut way to write and calculate log base e. ... So ln(x) = loge(x). As an example, ln(5) = loge(5) = 1.609.

Kyle is a salesman. His monthly earnings include a fixed monthly salary and a commission that is a fixed percentage of his total
____ [38]

Answer:

Kyle’s fixed monthly salary in dollars is $1800

Step-by-step explanation:

let a be the fixed monthly salary

let b% represent the fixed percentage of sales

a+(b%*15000)=2550

a+(b%*25000)=3050

a+(b/100*15000)=2550

a+150b=2550

a+(b/100*25000)=3050

a+250b=3050

now we have

a+150b=2550

a+250b=3050

let subtract a+150b=2550 from a+250b=3050

100b=500

b=500/100=5%

then a+(5%*15000)=2550

      a+750=2550

      a=2550-750=$1800

Which strategy best explains how to solve this problem?
Rufina [12.5K]
This is a geometric sequence because each term is twice the value of the previous term.  So this is what would be called the common ratio, which in this case is 2.  Any geometric sequence can be expressed as:

a(n)=ar^(n-1), a(n)=nth value, a=initial value, r=common ratio, n=term number

In this case we have r=2 and a=1 so

a(n)=2^(n-1)  so on the sixth week he will run:

a(6)=2^5=32

He will run 32 blocks by the end of the sixth week.

Now if you wanted to know the total amount he runs in the six weeks, you need the sum of the terms and the sum of a geometric sequence is:

s(n)=a(1-r^n)/(1-r)  where the variables have the same values so

s(n)=(1-2^n)/(1-2)

s(n)=2^n-1 so

s(6)=2^6-1

s(6)=64-1

s(6)=63 blocks

So he would run a total of 63 blocks in the six weeks.

I need to find x for this problem, in a category of geometry, help please!
sattari [20]

Answer:

17

Step-by-step explanation:

(7x)° + 61° = 180° (interior angle Postulate)

(7x)° = 180° - 61°

(7x)° =119°

7x = 119

x =  \frac{119}{7}  \\  \\  \huge \red{ \boxed{x = 17}}

A park ranger observed the number and ages of children who visited the park on a Friday morning. The results of his observations
aleksandr82 [10.1K]
ANSWER

The number of children between the ages of 9 and 15 who visited the park is
20

EXPLANATION

The number of children between the ages of 9 and 15 who visited the park are those within the age group 9 to 12 and 12 to 15.

We can from the graph that, the height of the bar that corresponds to the age group 9 to 12

= 14
and the height of the bar that corresponds to the age group 12 to 15

= 6

The sum of the two frequencies

= 14 + 6 = 20
