Since we have computer algebra systems that can solve polynomial division problems for us, why is it necessary to learn how to d

o these things by hand? Come up with a strong argument for learning such a process by hand and post that first. Then, read the posts of your peers and come up with a strong argument against learning such a process by hand that directly refutes the post of one of your peers. Post that argument as a response to their post.

Answer:

1. Learning how to perform polynomial division is an extremely effective way to exercise other important mathematical skills, such as dealing with exponents on variables.

2. Doing polynomial division by hand allows us to understand the similarities between polynomials and other numbers, along with some of the ways that we have to treat polynomials differently to preserve their original contents. If we only knew how to do it on a calculator or through other technology, we wouldn't truly understand or appreciate what is going on behind the scenes.
