Answer: 3.4 L

Explanation:

To calculate the moles, we use the equation:

\text{Number of moles}=\frac{\text{Given Volume}}{\text {Molar Volume}}=\frac{6.5L}{22.4L}=0.29moles

The balanced chemical equation for reaction of Hydrogen chloride gas with oxygen to form water vapor and chlorine gas.

4HCl(g)+O_2(g)\rightarrow 2H_2O(g)+2Cl_2(g)

According to stoichiometry :

4 moles of HCl produce = 2 moles of H_2O

Thus 0.29 moles of HCl will produce =\frac{2}{4}\times 0.29=0.15moles  of H_2O

Volume of H_2O=moles\times {\text {Molar Volume}}=0.15moles\times 22.4L/mol=3.4L

Thus 3.4 L of of water would be produced by this reaction if 6.5 L of hydrogen chloride were consumed

2.B. Describe the difference between a reaction that occurs spontaneously and one that does not. Spontaneous chemical reactions release energy and use that energy to power itself; non-spontaneous chemical reactions need to absorb energy, which they can't absorb their own energy that they don't even have.

Help!!! chemistry electrolysis
Tpy6a [65]
Electrolysis can be used to separate a substance into its original components/elements and it was through this process that a number of elements have been discovered and are still produced in today's industry.

An analysis of a sugar compound is found to contain 132 grams of carbon (C), 22 grams of hydrogen (H), and 176 grams of oxygen (
ddd [48]
132 g of C  ,   22 g of H   , 176 g of O

132 + 22 + 176 => 330 g <span>of the substance

</span>Now convert the masses in <span>moles :
</span>
C = 12.0 u        H = 1.0 u       O = 16.0 u

C = 132 / 12.0 => 11 moles

H = 22 / 1.0 => 22 moles

O = 176 / 16.0 => 11 moles

Using the values obtained the lowest proportion in mols of elements present, simply divide the values found for the least of them<span>:
</span>
C = 11 / 11 => 1

H = 22 / 11 => 2

O = 11 / 11 => 1

 formula empirically <span>is : CH</span>₂O

hope this helps!
