Answer:

The original fraction is \frac{18}{30}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original fraction be \frac{x}{y}.

It is given that 2 is added to the numerator and 5 is subtracted from the denominator. Then the fraction will become \frac{x+2}{y-5}.

After the addition & subtraction the original fraction become \frac{4}{5}

According to problem,

\frac{x+2}{y-5} = \frac{4}{5}

or, 5 X (x+2) = 4 X (y-5 )

or, 5x + 5X2 = 4y - 4X5

or, 5x + 10 = 4y - 20

or, 5x -4y + 10+20 = 0

or, 5x - 4y + 30 = 0 ............equation 1

Further is is given that the original fraction is  \frac{3}{5}

So, \frac{x}{y} = \frac{3}{5}

or, 5x = 3y  ..........................equation 2

Putting the value of 5x in equation  number 1, we get

3y - 4y  +30 = 0

or, -y = -30

or, y = 30

Putting y= 30 in equation number 2 , we get

5x = 3y

or, 5x = 3 X 30

or x = 18

Therefore the original fraction is \frac{18}{30}

Thank you..!!

A political polling agency predicts candidate A will win an election with 63% of the votes. Their poll has a margin of error of
scoray [572]

Answer:

56% ≤ p ≤ 70%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following :

Predicted % of votes to win for candidate A= 63%

Margin of Error in prediction = ±7%

Which inequality represents the predicted possible percent of votes, x, for candidate A?

Let the interval = p

Hence,

|p - prediction| = margin of error

|p - 63%| = ±7%

Hence,

Upper boundary : p = +7% + 63% = 70%

Lower boundary : p = - 7% + 63% = 56%

Hence,

Lower boundary ≤ p ≤ upper boundary

56% ≤ p ≤ 70%

Answer:

e = 29.0 will be the answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the sine rule in the given triangle,

\frac{EF}{\text{sin}(\angle D)}=\frac{DE}{\text{sin}(\angle F)}=\frac{DF}{\text{sin}(\angle E)}

\frac{d}{\text{sin}(35)}=\frac{16}{\text{sin}(30)}=\frac{e}{\text{sin}(115)}

d=\frac{16\times \text{sin}(35)}{\text{sin}(30)}

d = 18.35

\frac{16}{\text{sin}(30)}=\frac{e}{\text{sin}(115)}

e=\frac{16\times \text{sin}(115)}{\text{sin}(30)}

e = 29.002

e ≈ 29.0

Therefore, e = 29.0 will be the answer.

1 2 3 4 .... 1002 what is the sum of the sequence
Reika [66]
<span>As far as i know it is related to Gauss.
Write the sequences forward and backward first.

1 +2 +3 +.....+1002
1002+1001+1000+.....+1
--------------------------------------... Adding them
1003+1003+......(1002 times)
=1002x1003
But this contains the series twice.
So, the sum is = 1002x1003/2=501x1003=502503. answer</span>
