The only difference between the control and the experimental group is the independent variable.

The control group receives no treatment, or a constant independent variable. The experimental group receives a treatment, which is the altering of the independent variable.

Hopefully I helped :)

How many moles of nitrogen are in 2.0×10−2mole of quinine?
galben [10]

Answer: 4 x 10 ∧-2  moles of nitrogen.

Explanation:

The chemical formular for quinine is ; C20 H24 N2 O2

As can be seen from the chemical formular;

1 mole of quinine contains 2 moles of Nitrogen

Thus; 2.0 x 10 ∧-2 moles of quinine would contain

         2.0 x 10 ∧-2 x 2 = 4 x 10 ∧-2  moles of nitrogen.

Therefore 4 x 10 ∧-2  moles of nitrogen are in 2.0×10−2mole of quinine

In the northern hemisphere, the wind blows clockwise around centers of high pressure. The wind blows counterclockwise around low
STatiana [176]
Since you're only asking for the last 3 items, here are the answers:
3. Maine is located in the northern hemisphere. If there is a high pressure, the wind is blowing clockwise. If there is a low pressure, the wind direction will be in the opposite direction.

4. Colorado is in the northern hemisphere. If there is a low pressure, the wind is going counterclockwise. If there is a high pressure, the opposite is true.

5. There is no map so I can't give you the exact answers.

Consider the Bohr Model of Phosphorus below. Which statement is FALSE?
Rudik [331]

Answer:

(C) Energy is released when the electron is ejected from the atom.

Explanation:

In the Bohr model of the atom, electrons are arranged in energy levels. The electrons in the lowest energy levels are nearest to the nucleus. An electron may move from a lower to a higher energy level by absorbing energy that is equal to the difference between the energies of the higher and lower energy level.

The potential energy of all electrons inside the atom have negative values and an electron which is infinitely far from the nucleus has an electrostatic potential energy of zero.

Energy is absorbed when an electron is removed from the atom (ionization). Hence the process is highly endothermic. Therefore it is false to say that "Energy is released when the electron is ejected from the atom."
