What statements best define percent error? Check all that apply. It is a mathematical way of showing accuracy.The higher the per

cent error, the more accurate the data set.The higher the percent error, the less accurate the data set.Only the experimental value is needed to calculate percent error.Only the actual, or accepted, value is needed to calculate percent error.A percent error always has a positive value.

Percent error is a way to present or show accuracy of a data set mathematically. Also, having a higher value of such would mean that there is low accuracy of the data points. It is calculated using the actual value and the theoretical value. Lastly, it will always have a positive value.

Answer: It is a mathematical way of showing accuracy.The higher the percent error, the less accurate the data set.

Explanation:

Percent error is the difference between the experimental value and theoretical value and measures the accuracy of the result found. The larger the error, lesser is the accuracy and vice versa.

{\text {percent error}=\frac{|\text {Accepted value- Experimental value}|}{\text {accepted value}}

The experimental value can be greater or smaller than accepted value thus percent error can be positive as well as negative. But we only consider the value without the sign.

zmey [24]
_____ _____hello mate_______

here are five harmful effects of friction

1) It makes us use more fuel

2) The gears in your care will wear down if not lubricated with oil

3) The friction up the device so, due to heating machine can damaged

4) Causes the production of heat between surfaces when the object move
eg : car brakes and tyres heat up due friction

5) Even our shoes wear out due to friction with the ground ; Friction with air causes air craft , meteors to heat

You are a member of a geological team in Central Africa. Your team comes upon a wide river that is flowing east. You must determ
Dovator [93]

Answer:

(a). The width of the river is 90.5 m.

The current speed of the river is 3.96 m.

(b). The shortest time is 15.0 sec and we would end 59.4 m east of our starting point.

Explanation:

Given that,

Constant speed = 6.00 m/s

Time = 20.1 sec

Speed = 9.00 m/s

Time = 11.2 sec

We need to write a equation for to travel due north across the river,

Using equation for north

v^2-c^2=\dfrac{w^2}{t^2}

Put the value in the equation

6.00^2-c^2=\dfrac{w^2}{(20.1)^2}

36-c^2=\dfrac{w^2}{404.01}....(I)

We need to write a equation for to travel due south across the river,

Using equation for south

v^2-c^2=\dfrac{w^2}{t^2}

Put the value in the equation

9.00^2-c^2=\dfrac{w^2}{(11.2)^2}

81-c^2=\dfrac{w^2}{125.44}....(II)

(a). We need to calculate the wide of the river

Using equation (I) and (II)

45=\dfrac{w^2}{125.44}-\dfrac{w^2}{404.01}

45=w^2(0.00549)

w^2=\dfrac{45}{0.00549}

w=\sqrt{\dfrac{45}{0.00549}}

w=90.5

We need to calculate the current speed

Using equation (I)

36-c^2=\dfrac{(90.5)^2}{(20.1)^2}

36-c^2=20.27

c^2=20.27-36

c=\sqrt{15.73}

c=3.96\ m/s

(b). We need to calculate the shortest time

Using formula of time

t=\dfrac{d}{v}

t=\dfrac{90.5}{6}

t=15.0\ sec

We need to calculate the distance

Using formula of distance

d=vt

d=3.96\times15.0

d=59.4\ m

Hence, (a). The width of the river is 90.5 m.

The current speed of the river is 3.96 m.

(b). The shortest time is 15.0 sec and we would end 59.4 m east of our starting point.

If you are holding a book and you let go of it, why does it fall? Explain in terms of forces, potential energy, and kinetic ener
inessss [21]

Answer:

Let the mass of the book be "m", acceleration due to gravity be "g", velocity be "v" and height be "h".

Now if we are holding a book at a certain height (h), <em><u>the potential energy will be maximum which is equal to mass× acceleration due to gravity× height (= mgh)</u>.</em>

(Remember: kinetic energy =0)

Now we consider that the book is dropped, in this case a force will act downward towards the centre of the earth, <em><u>Force= mass× acceleration due to gravity (F=mg)</u></em>. It is equal to the weight of the book.

While the book is falling, the potential energy stored in the book converts into kinetic energy and strikes the floor with <em><u>the maximum kinetic energy= (1/2)×mass×velocity² (=1/2mv²)</u>.</em>

(Remember: kinetic energy=0)

Due to this process the whole energy is conserved.

As the potential energy decreases kinetic energy increases.
