How are radioactive isotopes used to date rocks? ...?

Biology

Some isotopes, however, decay slowly, and several of these are used as geologic clocks. Dating rocks by these radioactive timekeepers is simple in theory, but the laboratory procedures are complex. All methods rely on the fact that certain elements (particularly uranium and potassium) contain a number of different isotopes whose half-life is exactly known and therefore the relative concentrations of these isotopes within a rock or mineral can measure the age.

Would an organism that develops a trait that helps it survive in its environment have a better chance of reproducing and passing
hram777 [196]

Answer:

Yup, it would!

Explanation:

A helpful trait (as an example, camouflage), would give it an advantage over organisms that don't. Ones without camouflage would most likely get eaten because it stands out, while the one who has camouflage would live long enough to breed. Overall, it boils down to living longer. I hope this helped!
