Answer:

The distance between two cities is 495 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The speed of plan flew between two cities = 330 mph

The speed of car traveling between two cities = 55 mph

Let the time taken by plan = T hours

So, The time taken by car = ( T + 7. 5 ) hours

Let the Distance between the cities  = D  miles

As, Distance = Speed × Time

So, Distance cover by plan = D = 330 mph × T h

And Distance cover by Car = D = 55 mph × ( T + 7.5 )  h

Or,  55 mph × ( T + 7.5 )  h = 330 mph × T h

Or,  55 T + 412.5 = 330 T

Or,   412.5 = 330 T - 55 T

Or,   412.5 = 275 T

∴    T = \frac{412.5}{275} hours

Or , T = 1.5 hours

o, Distance = Speed × Time

Or , D = 330 mph × 1. 5 h

SO, D = 495 miles

Hence The distance between two cities is 495 miles   Answer

The point ( - 14,12) is on the graph of y = f(x). Find the corresponding point on the graph of y= qe), where gex) = arcus.
liubo4ka [24]

Answer:

(-14,4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

(-14,12)   \to    y =f(x)

g(x) = \frac{1}{3}f(x)

Required

The corresponding point on y = g(x)

(-14,12)   \to    y =f(x) means:

12 = f(-14)

or

f(-14)=12

g(x) = \frac{1}{3}f(x) is calculated

g(-14) = \frac{1}{3} * f(-14)

g(-14) = \frac{1}{3} * 12

g(-14) = 4

So, the corresponding point on y = g(x) is: (-14,4)

Solve the proportion <br><br> 12/16 = 3z/4
WITCHER [35]

Answer:

z = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

12/16 = 3z/4

=> 12 x 4/16 = 3z

=> 3z = 12 x 4/16

=> 3z = 12 x 1/4

=> 3z = 3

=> z = 1
