The local meteorologist is converting temperatures from Celsius to Fahrenheit. She knows that the formula for the conversion fro

m Fahrenheit to Celsius is C = 59(F − 32) C = 5 9 ( F - 32 ) . What would be the formula for converting to Fahrenheit from Celsius?

This is the concept of algebra, given that the formula for converting Fahrenheit to Celsius is C=59(F-32), the formula for converting to Fahrenheit from Celsius will be found by making F the subject of our formula:
C=59(F-32)
divide both sides by 59
C/59=F-32
adding 32 on both sides we get:
C/59+32=F
hence the formula will be given by:
F=C/59+32

What are the coordinates of the point on the directed line segment from (-9, -1)(−9,−1) to (-9, -10)(−9,−10) that partitions the
mihalych1998 [28]

Answer:

Therefore the co-ordinate of the point on the line segment from (-9,-1) to(-9,-10) into a ratio internally is (-9,-7).

Therefore the co-ordinate of the point on the line segment from (-9,-1) to(-9,-10) into a ratio internally is (-9,-19).

Step-by-step explanation:

Given points are (-9,-1) and (-9,-10)

If a point divides the line segment by joining two points (x₁,y₁) and (x₂,y₂)  into a ratio m:n internally.

Then the point of the coordinate is (\frac{m.x_2+nx_1}{m+n},\frac{my_2+ny_1}{m+n}).

If a line segment is externally divided into a point by joining two points (x₁,y₁) and (x₂,y₂) with m: n ratio.

Then the point of the coordinate is (\frac{m.x_2-nx_1}{m-n},\frac{my_2-ny_1}{m-n}).

Internally

The co-ordinate of the point is (\frac{(-9)\times2+(-9)\times 1}{2+1},\frac{(-10)\times 2+(-1)\times 1}{2+1})

                                                 =(-9,-7)

Externally

The co-ordinate of the point is (\frac{(-9)\times2-(-9)\times 1}{2-1},\frac{(-10)\times 2-(-1)\times 1}{2-1})

                                                   =  (-9,-19)

Suppose y varies directly with x, and y = -4 when x = 25. What is x when y = 10? SHOW ALL YOUR WORK HERE OR YOU WON'T GET CREDIT
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

x = -62.5

Step-by-step explanation:

y = kx

-4 = k(25)

k = -4/25

y = (-4/25)x

10 = (-4/25)x

x = 10 × 25/-4

x = -62.5
