Answer:

Radius: 10 ft

Diameter: 20 ft

Area: 314.15 ft^2

Circumference: 62.83 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The radius can be found using the diameter. The diameter is 20 feet which is the line that is given in the circle.

The radius(r) is equal to half the diameter(d):

r = d/2 --> r = 20/2 = 10 feet

The area(A) can be found using the radius(r) and pi or 3.14

A = pi(r^2) --> A = pi(10^2) = 314.15 feet^2

The circumference(C) is found by using the radius(r) and pi or 3.14

C = 2pi(r) --> C = 2pi(10) = 62.83 feet

Huilan is 15 years younger than Thomas. The sum of their ages is 33 . What is Thomas's age?
Sphinxa [80]

h = t - 15

h + t = 33

Because we have a value of h, we can plug it into the second equation to solve for t.

t - 15 + t = 33

Add 15 to both sides.

t + t = 48

Combine like terms.

2t = 48

Divide both sides by 2.

t = 24

Thomas's age is 24.

What is this answer???
wlad13 [49]

Answer:

∠ ABC = 116°

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the angles are supplementary, they sum to 180° , that is

8x - 36 + 4x - 12 = 180

12x - 48 = 180 ( add 48 to both sides )

12x = 228 ( divide both sides by 12 )

x = 19

Then

∠ ABC = 8x - 36 = 8(19) - 36 = 152 - 36 = 116°

Graph the image of the given triangle, translated 4 units to the right and 5 units down.
Goryan [66]

Answer- Follow the attachment attached herewith.

Solution-

As we know if we are moving in left or right, we have to deal with the x - direction or x co-ordinate and if we are moving in up and down , we have to deal with y - direction or y co-ordinate .

If we are moving in right ,we have to add in x co-ordinate and if we are moving left we have subtract from x co-ordinate. Likewise, if we are moving up, we have to add in y co-ordinate and if we are moving down, then we have to subtract from y co-ordinate.

As given in the question, we have move the triangle 4 units right and 5 units down,

The co-ordinate of given triangles'

A = (-1,3)

B = (-5,-3)

C = (2,-1)

∴Then the new co-ordinate will be

A' = (-1+4 , 3-5) = (3,-2)

B' = (-5+4 , -3-5) = (-1,-8)

C' = (2+4 , -1-5) = (6,-6)
