Is 0.2 bigger than 0.15

Well  we compared two decimal numbers and found that 0.2 is greater than 0.15. Some students would argue that 0.15 is a longer decimal with more digits, and is therefore greater than 0.2. But they are wrong.

0.2 can be put as: 1/5( as a fraction) 20% (as a percent)

0.15 can be put as: 3/20 (asa fraction) 15% ( as a percent)

Yes it is because 0.2 can also be written 0.20 which is bigger than 0.15

Brian’s school locker has a three-digit combination lock that can be set using the numbers 5 to 9 (including 5 and 9), without r
andreev551 [17]
The possible digits are: 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Let's mark the case when the locker code begins with a prime number as A and the case when <span>the locker code is an odd number as B. We have 5 different digits in total, 2 of which are prime (5 and 7).

First propability:
</span>P_A=\frac{2}{5}=40\%
<span>
By knowing that digits don't repeat we can say that code is an odd number in case it ends with 5, 7 or 9 (three of five digits).

Second probability:
</span>P_B=\frac{3}{5}=60\%

Rose bought some spinach. She used 3/5 of the spinach on a pan of spinach pie for a party and 3/4 of the remaining spinach for a
SashulF [63]
a. She used 1/10 of the spinach for a salad.

b. She used 1/2 pound of spinach for the salad.

We can solve each part of this problem by using a "fraction strip". The strip helps show a breakdown of what portion of spinach was used for each the party, family, and salad. See the attached image for a step by step example of how to multiply the fractions to find the correct portions.
