Many people use antimicrobial soap to kill bacteria on their hands. However, overuse may actually increase the risk of infection

. How could this occur?

Well observed. Let me explain how:

Antimicrobial products, such as soap and creams, contain antiseptic compounds, obtained from chemical, biochemical or natural sources.

All of them reduce the possibility of microorganisms surviving, by different means (pH imbalance, destruction of their membranes, induction of mutation, etc).

As you may have seen in the advertisements, these components only eliminate 99.99% of microorganisms. This means that there is always a small chance (0.01%) that some tolerant insulates could appear.

As a result of a continuous and excessive application of the same antiseptic over and over again, all microbes are eliminated less microbes those few tolerant. Being the tolerants, the only ones alive, all the offspring generated from them will carry the genes with tolerance to the next generation.

It is a clear example of genetic selection.

Well there are many catastrophic scenarios that we already overcome. You should consider educating yourself about the great filter. A great filter is a hypothetical barrier that each civilization can or cannot overcome. From here on things get a little complex so I won't bore you with them. But there are experts in this theory called great filter and I'm sure they can tell you a lot about.

What does it mean when someone gets “tubes put in their ears”? Where are they put? Why?
Neko [114]
I'll try to explain, because I've had tubes before.  In fact, I still have them.

For me, tubes were put in because of too many ear infections, and excessive water in my ear.  The tube helped drain the water out.  You can see A picture I have in a file.  The tubes can be put I believe in the ear drum.  They're put there to help drain water that has trouble getting out on its own.

If the cell body of a pns neuron survives when an axon is damaged, axon filaments can extend peripherally from the injured site
Julli [10]
The statement above is TRUE.
The peripheral extension of an axon filament from an injured site toward an original target is an example of axonal regeneration. Axon regeneration in the matured mammalian central nervous system is very limited after injury. But axonal regeneration is still possible in some instances such as the one given in this question.

A memory B cell is kinda of how it sounds it has a memory of what your body has fought before such as a virus and can stimulate a response quicker then the first time you encountered it.

If you lack memory B cells your body doesn't built up the same immune response when you come into contact with the virus again.

"Vaccination would prevent further disease" Incorrect, a vaccine lets you build up memory cells to combat the disease if you lack them you cannot build up a defense.
"Vaccination would not prevent further disease" Correct, a vaccine can be a dead version of a virus or parts of a virus that shows your body what to respond to quickly in the future. If you body cannot make memory b cells it wouldn't help to use a vaccine. Your body wouldn't keep a memory of it being bad.
"You would not produce antibodies" Even if your body does not remember a particular virus it does produce antibodies to combat it just not as quick or efficiantly as something it has come into contact with before and produced memory cells.
"You would over produce histamine" Incorrect, different process for that histamine.
