I did this my sophmore year in highschool and I'm trying to remember lol. But first you add all the marbles together. 1+4+3. its eight. and since the marble was put back in this makes it an independant event. i believe the answer would be 2/8 considering that there isnt enough numbers to follow through with the equation of (P(a or b)=P(a)xP(b) . P is the probability and a and b are the variabls that represent the events. You would plug in the numbers of the probabilities into the equation, if you think the question calls for it. sorry it may not have been a staright up answer.

43. Simplify (k – 5) - (k2 + 8).
lesantik [10]

Answer:

(D) -k2 + k - 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Pulling out like terms :

2.1     Pull out like factors :

  -k2 + k - 13  =   -1 • (k2 - k + 13)

Trying to factor by splitting the middle term

2.2     Factoring  k2 - k + 13

The first term is,  k2  its coefficient is  1 .

The middle term is,  -k  its coefficient is  -1 .

The last term, "the constant", is  +13

Step-1 : Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant   1 • 13 = 13

Step-2 : Find two factors of  13  whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is   -1 .

     -13    +    -1    =    -14

     -1    +    -13    =    -14

     1    +    13    =    14

     13    +    1    =    14

Observation : No two such factors can be found !!

Conclusion : Trinomial can not be factored

Final result :

 -k2 + k - 13

If a 12-sided regular polygon rotates about its center, at which angle of rotation will the image of the polygon coincide with t
Andreas93 [3]
D) 30

A polygon can rotate a total of 360. This one has 12 sides and 12 angles that are all congruent. So to coincide with original image, it must rotate 1/12 of the way around

360/12=30
