In an area that is prone to earthquakes, we could store household items in a way that will minimize chances of injury and make sure that the bigger items or furniture such as shelves are fastened to walls. We can also try not to sleep under a window, and should always have an emergency kit assembled. You can also have plans with your family as to where to go if caught in an Earthquake.( also might want to change the wording because this was my answer.
