Answer: The correct answer is A) can start in many different places on a sequence at the same time.

DNA replication is a process of copying DNA so that two identical replica of DNA are produced from one original DNA. It is essential for the process of cell division. It is initiated from a specific site/ specific sequence of nucleotides that is called origin of replication.

There is single origin of replication in prokaryotes ( as they have smaller genome size) whereas eukaryotes ( having large genome) have multiple origin of replication so that their whole DNA can be replicated within less time.

Which of the following statements is true?
mr Goodwill [35]

Answer:

Spongy bone is well adapted to accept stress in many directions, which makes it good for shock absorption

Explanation:

Spongy bone tissue is less compact and always present towards the interior of the bone and is covered by compact bone. Spongy bone tissue has lamellae that are arranged in an irregular pattern. The thin irregular columns of lamellae are called trabeculae.

The trabeculae of spongy bone tissues are precisely arranged along the line of stress. This feature of spongy bones allows them to resist the stress applied from many directions and to transfer the force making them a good shock absorber. The final arrangement of trabeculae is achieved only after the person learns the locomotory movements completely.

When crude oil is distilled, it is separated into categories. What are those categories characterized by?
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

Differences in their boiling points

Explanation:

When crude oil is distilled and separated into categories, the categories are characterized by the differences in their boiling points.

At different boiling points, each of the fraction will separate out.

  • Crude oil is made up of different fractions of hydrocarbons.
  • As the chain length of the hydrocarbon increases, the volatility reduces and boiling point increases.
  • Components with short carbon lengths rises out from the column first and are cooled and extracted.
  • The categories are thereby, classified based on differences in their boiling points.
