First you gotta find out what this is:
{3}^{9} =

Then you gotta figure out what this is too:
{3}^{5}=
Once you figure that out you must divide:
{3}^{9} \div {3}^{5} =

And the answer of that equation will be the answer to the problem of how many times bigger the capacity of the of the Madison square Garden in NY than the typical movie theater!

Hope it helps Good Luck! ( If I did anything wrong please let me know and Ill fix it :) )

A satellite can move at 17,000 miles per hour. How many hours will it take to reach a star that is three light years away? Recal
babunello [35]
First convert the distance to miles

9.5 × 10^12 km x 0.62 miles/km
= (0.62 × 9.5) x 10^12 miles
= 5.9 × 10^12 miles

we want to triple that, because it is 3 light years (not just 1):
3 x 5.9 × 10^12 miles
≈ 18 × 10^12 miles
≈ 1.8 × 10^13 miles

Next divide by the speed to get the time (in hours).
t = 1.8 × 10^13 miles / 17000 miles/hour

convert the speed to scientific notation:
t = 1.8 × 10^13 / 1.7 x 10^4

t = (1.8 / 1.7) × (10^13 / 10^4) <-- when dividing powers with the same base, subtract the exponents
t ≈ 1.1 × 10^9

convert that back to standard notation.

Answer:
1,100,000,000 hours (P.S. That is about 120,000 years).
Hope this helps!!!

If BC = 26, AC = 30, and AB = 30, find the perimeter of △AED.
dalvyx [7]
176
Since you didn't bother to include a diagram of the triangle, I am going to make some assumptions. You need to actually verify that the assumptions are correct and if they are, then this answer is correct. Otherwise if the assumptions are not correct, you're on your own.
Assumption.Points B and C are midpoints of line segments AE and AD. The reason for this assumption is because if points B and C didn't lie on the sides of triangle AED, you would gain no useful information about triangle AED from the lengths provided. Additionally, if those points were not midpoints, you wouldn't gain any information about the lengths of the sides of triangle AED expect that those sides were longer than the lengths of the sides specified.
Once again. VERIFY that points B and C are midpoints of line segments AE and AD.
Now for the solution:Since triangle AED is similar to triangle ABC, that means that the ratio of the lengths of the sides is constant. And since B & C are midpoints of their respective sides, the perimeter of triangle AED is twice the perimeter of triangle ABC. And the perimeter of triangle ABC is 26 + 30 + 30 = 86. So the perimeter of triangle AED is 86 * 2 = 176

The mean temperature change is 3.2 fahrenheit per day for 5 days. What is the total change over the 5-day period?
Vera_Pavlovna [14]
Mean = total change/ number of days
3.2 = total change/ 5
total change = 3.2 x 5 = 16 fahrenheit
