Which sentence describes energy flow through a natural (not manufactured) system?
Bezzdna [24]

The correct option is this: A STRONG WIND BLOW ACROSS A MIDWESTERN PRAIRIE.

A strong wind is an example of a natural force. The prairie refers to a land fill with grasses and that is a natural factor also. Thus, a strong wind that is blowing across a prairie is generating a natural form of energy. The energy flow in the other options given are examples of man made devices.

In which of the following ways are bacteria similar to birds
pentagon [3]

Answer:

They both use DNA as their genetic material.

Explanation:

Bacteria are simple prokaryotic organisms which lack membrane bound organelles. On the other hand, birds like higher organisms are eukarotyotic organisms with proper membrane bound organelles. Other than this that both bacteria and birds are living organisms,  one way in which bacteria and birds are similar is that they both have DNA as genetic material which they pass to their offspring. Although in the case of bacteria there is no variation is offspring however in case of birds there can be because genetic shuffling takes place and offspring is not an exact replica of parents while in case of bacteria they are.

Hope it helps!

Well, wind and solar energy are good places to look at. The highest wind speed recorded in Antartica was roughly 199 mph, so they would definitely gain a large amount of energy from the wind. A smaller turbine can handle severe weather conditions, so setting some up along the most wind ridden places would be good. Solar energy would also be the best option since their days are longer than their nights over there. There can be days at a time where the sun doesn't rise at all, and then there are some where there is sunlight for a full 24 hours. So, it really depends on your preference, and the cons and pros of the energy type.
For wind: Set up a series of turbines along the areas that have the most wind. Turbines can withstand large storms. There is usually some kind of wind blowing.
For solar: Set up some solar panels where they would be able to get the most amount of sunlight. There are 24 hour long days of sunlight, but there are also some days where there is no sunlight at all.

Hope this helps you a bit.
